Shipping & Return Policy
At Side & Story, we provide high quality, unique pieces with convenient online shopping. Our products are shipped mostly assembled. Generally the only assembly required is attaching legs! Here's a peak behind the curtain: the size and scale of our pieces require specialized shipping services.
Consequently, we are pleased to offer discounted shipping cost by only charging a 8% of total product cost for curbside delivery. We also offer White Glove inside delivery and removal of any shipping materials for an additional fee. White Glove inside delivery is quoted uniquely on a per address basis.
These specialized shipping methods are optimal for delivering high quality goods to your place. All this to say, a Side & Story purchase may take longer to arrive -- or may be made-to-order by artisans. Please reach out to us to discuss timing and we will work to optimize the delivery.
We want you to be ecstatic with your purchase. So we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. But if your product arrives damaged we ask you to contact us within 3 days.
We take every step possible to ensure your orders arrive in the best condition possible. All shipments should be inspected upon delivery, and any claim of damage should be made within 3 days of receipt of merchandise. Items that are not damaged are subject to a 15% restocking fee and must be back at our warehouse within 30 days of the merchandise arriving to the end user on the order. You are responsible for repackaging and return transportation. Returned items must be shipped back in their original packaging, with no signs of use, wear or damage. Upon receipt, our warehouse will inspect the package for any damage and reserves the right to partially or wholly accept or deny the return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Return shipping costs apply.
To start a return, you can contact us at email@example.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
We want you to be to satisfied. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately -- no later than 3 days from delivery -- if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Shipping Return Policy
Return shipping is not free. We will charge the costs associated with return shipping for your purchase. We will provide a quote for you as a part of our correspondence with you which will include shipping instructions and return address.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
